Migrate from DirectAdmin to Webuzo

Move multi-user hosting accounts from DirectAdmin into Webuzo using the native importer, then finish SSL, PHP, and billing cutover.

Webuzo includes a DirectAdmin importer so hosts can leave DA without rebuilding every account by hand. Pair migration with a trial license on a staging server when possible.

High-level steps

  1. Install Webuzo on the target (or prepare a new VPS) and activate a license/trial.
  2. Open Admin → Import tools → DirectAdmin importer (credentials or backup flow per docs).
  3. Import accounts in batches; watch task/logs for failures.
  4. Verify document roots, MultiPHP versions, databases, email, and FTP.
  5. Issue or re-validate free SSL via Automatic SSL.
  6. Point DNS (after TTL reduction) and reconnect WHMCS/Blesta to Webuzo.

FAQ

Does Webuzo import DirectAdmin accounts?
Yes. Use the DirectAdmin importer in the Webuzo Admin panel, then verify sites, SSL, and mail.
Should I lower DNS TTL first?
Yes—reduce TTL 24–48 hours before cutover so DNS updates propagate faster.
